Aaditya Thackeray, a prominent leader in the Shiv Sena (UBT), has issued a formal denial regarding allegations linking him to the 2020 death of Disha Salian, the former manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The controversy resurfaced following the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) that reportedly mentioned his name in connection with the case.

Thackeray addressed the situation by stating, "Never met," categorically rejecting any personal or professional association with the deceased. He characterized the inclusion of his name in the legal filings as a form of "character assassination" driven by political agendas. Thackeray urged authorities to allow the official re-investigation to proceed without what he described as "malicious distractions."

The death of Disha Salian, which occurred shortly before the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, has been a subject of intense political debate in Maharashtra for years. While Thackeray maintains that the accusations are baseless attempts to damage his reputation, political opponents have frequently used the case to question the integrity of the previous state administration.
