According to a report released by San Francisco-based research firm Smart Analytics Global (SAG), AgiBot has overtaken Unitree Robotics to claim the top spot in the global humanoid robot market. The data, covering the period from January to June 2026, indicates that AgiBot shipped roughly 8,400 units during the first half of the year, securing a 44% market share.

This shift in market leadership occurs as both companies are reportedly positioning themselves for public listings. The rise of these firms is being driven by a broader industry trend described as a 'physical AI boom,' where advancements in robotics and artificial intelligence are being integrated into commercial hardware. While AgiBot has emerged as the current leader in terms of shipment volume, both companies remain central players in the competitive landscape of Chinese robotics, which is increasingly focused on scaling production for global distribution.
