Brahmavihari Swami, a prominent monk associated with the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, recently issued a public statement praising flydubai pilot Smit Machchhar. The monk expressed deep admiration for the pilot’s performance during a recent, unspecified incident involving a flydubai flight, stating that the pilot represents the 'essence of humanity.'

According to the monk, the pilot's actions were instrumental in ensuring the safety of those on board. Brahmavihari Swami noted that hearing the pilot's name evokes a strong emotional response, emphasizing the gratitude felt for the lives saved during the emergency. While the specific details of the incident—such as the nature of the technical failure or the specific flight path—were not elaborated upon in the report, the focus remained on the pilot’s composure and the positive impact of his decision-making under pressure. The praise serves as a public acknowledgment of the pilot's professional conduct and his perceived role in preventing a potential tragedy.
