The recent urban local body elections in Rajasthan have concluded with a decisive lead for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to reports, the BJP successfully secured control of 204 civic boards across the state, while the Congress party trailed with 96.

Political analysts have highlighted the BJP’s performance in the tribal-dominated regions of Banswara, Dungarpur, and Pratapgarh as a particularly significant development. In these specific areas, which encompass nine urban local bodies, the BJP managed to form boards in seven, signaling a shift in influence within regions that have historically been competitive.
