According to recent Chinese customs data, Brazil has emerged as the primary destination for Chinese vehicle exports. Between January and May 2024, Brazil imported US$5.2 billion worth of Chinese cars, representing a 146.9% increase compared to the same period in 2023, when the country ranked sixth. This surge in volume pushed Brazil ahead of Russia, which imported US$5 billion, and Belgium, which imported US$3.8 billion during the same timeframe.
