ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, is undergoing a significant internal restructuring of its enterprise software division. According to an internal memo, the company is merging the product team behind its office collaboration tool, Lark—known as Feishu in China—with the team responsible for its Doubao AI chatbot. This consolidation is intended to sharpen the company’s focus on integrating artificial intelligence into its corporate service offerings.

Industry reports indicate that ByteDance has reached an annualized AI revenue of approximately US$4 billion. This figure reportedly places the Beijing-based technology giant at the forefront of the artificial intelligence market in China. By aligning its enterprise collaboration tools with its generative AI products, the company aims to streamline its development efforts and better serve its corporate client base.
