Following a recent fatal incident in the Satya Niketan area, the Citizens Justice Party (CJP) has formally called for government intervention to address student housing safety. The CJP is urging authorities to launch a comprehensive probe into the operational standards of these private facilities, citing concerns over safety and living conditions. Beyond investigations, the group is pushing for a long-term structural solution: the construction of more government-run hostels. They argue that the current reliance on private, unregulated housing leaves students vulnerable to exploitation and hazardous environments.
