Cognex Corporation, a Massachusetts-based company specializing in machine vision technology, has announced the acquisition of the robotics business unit previously held by Intel’s RealSense division. The deal, valued at over $600 million, represents a significant expansion for Cognex and serves as the company's first-ever acquisition of an Israeli entity.

The business unit being acquired focuses on the development of 3D camera technology and artificial intelligence-driven vision systems.
