President de la Espriella characterized the death of the militant, who was known by the aliases 'Felipe' or 'Arcadio,' as a 'crushing blow' to the dissident organization. This faction is currently under the command of a leader known as 'Ivan Mordisco,' who has been a primary target of government security efforts in the region. Following the operation, the president shared video footage on social media that appeared to show the aftermath of the encounter, including a person in a body bag.
