The Delhi Chief Minister was recently issued a notice by the Election Commission of India regarding discrepancies found in her electoral registration records. The notice, which pertains to the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) or related administrative processes, raised questions about the accuracy of her voter data.

Following the issuance of the notice, the Chief Electoral Officer’s (CEO) office conducted a review of the Chief Minister's registration status. The office has since clarified that the discrepancies have been addressed and the entry has been officially validated. Consequently, the Chief Minister’s name is confirmed to be included in the final electoral roll for the Shalimar Bagh constituency. This final roll is scheduled for public release on November 4.

While the administrative process has concluded with the validation of her registration, the initial notice highlighted the rigorous verification procedures currently being applied to electoral rolls in the region. The CEO office did not provide further details regarding the specific nature of the initial discrepancies, focusing instead on the resolution of the matter ahead of the upcoming publication deadline.
