Delhi Police have successfully dismantled a sophisticated cyber fraud network after a single consumer complaint triggered a wider investigation. The case began when a student attempted to purchase a kurti from an Instagram account identified as 'Kavya_kurti_hub'. Upon failing to receive the item, the student filed a formal complaint, which prompted cybercrime investigators to trace the digital footprint of the account.

As the investigation expanded, police discovered that the Instagram page was merely one component of a much larger, organized criminal enterprise. Investigators revealed that the network had been operating across multiple platforms to deceive customers, ultimately siphoning approximately 30 crore rupees from victims nationwide. The police have since taken action against the individuals involved, though specific details regarding the number of arrests or the exact operational structure of the syndicate remain under investigation. The case highlights the increasing prevalence of e-commerce scams on social media platforms and the challenges authorities face in tracking decentralized digital fraud operations.
