Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Chennai on October 10. Ahead of this trip, DMK leader Dayanidhi Maran sparked political speculation by questioning whether Gandhi would meet with actor Vijay, who recently launched his own political party, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).

Maran’s comments, posted on social media, framed the inquiry around the status of both figures as potential prime ministerial candidates. By asking, 'Will the two prime ministerial candidates meet each other in Chennai?', Maran drew attention to the evolving political landscape in Tamil Nadu, where the entry of high-profile figures like Vijay into the electoral arena has created uncertainty regarding future political alignments.

While the visit is officially a Congress-led event, the speculation reflects broader interest in how established political parties like the DMK and Congress view the emergence of Vijay’s party. There has been no official confirmation from either the Congress party or Vijay’s camp regarding a potential meeting. The situation remains speculative, as neither side has addressed the possibility of a formal interaction during Gandhi's time in the city.
