On Friday morning, an explosion occurred at a private residence in the village of Ain al-Qasab, located in the Idlib region of Syria. According to the Syrian Civil Defense, often referred to as the White Helmets, the incident resulted in the deaths of three civilians: a man, his wife, and his brother. Six other individuals, including the couple's children, sustained injuries in the blast.

Rescue teams arrived on the scene to provide medical assistance and transport the wounded to nearby facilities. While the investigation into the exact cause of the explosion is ongoing, the Syrian Civil Defense stated that initial findings point to the presence of explosive materials stored inside the home. These materials were reportedly intended for use in fishing activities.
