Eric Wu, the former CEO and co-founder of the real estate platform Opendoor, has officially unveiled his latest venture, NavigateAI. The startup, which has been operating in stealth mode since May, is focused on developing artificial intelligence tools to assist workers in the construction sector.

NavigateAI provides AI-powered 'copilots' designed to offer real-time, hands-free guidance to construction workers. These tools are accessible via smartphones and Meta’s AI-enabled glasses. The technology is intended to mitigate the impact of the ongoing labor shortage in the construction industry, a problem that has become increasingly acute as large-scale projects, such as data centers, now require thousands of workers to complete.

The company has successfully raised $25 million in funding to support its development and operations. The investment round was backed by notable industry figures and firms, including Elad Gil, Khosla Ventures, and the homebuilding company Lennar. While the company is currently focused on construction, the broader application of AI copilots in manual labor fields remains a growing area of interest for venture capital investors.
