According to recent reports, the region is down to just 12 operational oxygen-generation stations out of an original 34. This significant reduction in capacity is severely limiting the ability of hospitals and clinics to provide life-saving respiratory support.

The decline in oxygen production is part of a broader collapse of medical services within the enclave. As the number of functional stations drops, the risk to patients suffering from respiratory illnesses, trauma, and those requiring surgery increases. The situation is further complicated by the ongoing conflict, which restricts the movement of fuel, spare parts, and technical support needed to maintain or repair the damaged infrastructure.
