The Hong Kong Tourism Board has officially launched "Hong Kong Halloween Month," a new initiative designed to establish the city as a leading destination for the holiday in Asia. The program spans the entirety of October and includes a series of street celebrations scheduled across five key neighborhoods: Central, Kai Tak, Lan Kwai Fong, Mong Kok, and Tsim Sha Tsui East. These festivities are set to take place over three consecutive Saturdays, beginning October 17, and will lead up to the final events on Halloween night.

To encourage participation and facilitate travel between event locations, the campaign includes complimentary rides on specially decorated buses and trams. In addition to the street-level activities, the Tourism Board is coordinating with major local attractions, including Hong Kong Disneyland, to host concurrent promotional events. The initiative represents a strategic effort by the city to leverage seasonal festivities to drive tourism and increase foot traffic in commercial districts. While the Tourism Board has outlined the schedule and logistical support for the events, the long-term impact on tourism numbers remains to be seen as the city attempts to solidify its reputation as a premier Halloween hub.
