On Thursday, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its forces intercepted and destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operating over the southwestern port city of Bandar Imam Khomeini. According to reports from the Tasnim news agency, the IRGC detected the aircraft within the city's airspace before engaging it.

Following the interception, the drone crashed, with debris landing on a residential property in the area. Local authorities confirmed that there were no fatalities resulting from the incident.
