At the IFA tech show in Berlin, iRobot showcased its latest innovation, the Roomba Duo. The device is designed as a dual-unit system that functions as a single, cohesive floor-cleaning solution. The primary unit is a heavy-duty machine capable of both mopping and sweeping larger floor areas. It is paired with a smaller, slimmer robot that can mechanically lower itself to navigate and clean confined spaces, such as areas under furniture or narrow corners.

Beyond its cleaning capabilities, the Roomba Duo serves as an autonomous mobile dock. The main unit is equipped with onboard clean and dirty water tanks, as well as a dust bag for debris collection. The system utilizes lidar technology for navigation, allowing the two units to coordinate their movements throughout a home. As this is currently a concept product, iRobot has not provided a release date or pricing information.
