On Sunday, Israeli authorities denied entry to two Swedish members of the European Parliament (MEPs), Jonas Sjostedt and Hanna Gedin, upon their arrival at Ben Gurion Airport. Both individuals are representatives of Sweden’s Left Party and intended to visit the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed the decision, stating that the lawmakers were prohibited from entering the country due to their history of political opposition toward Israel. Specifically, the ministry alleged that the MEPs have "consistently acted against Israel," citing their public support for international legal proceedings against Israeli officials and the dissemination of what the ministry described as "false accusations."
