Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid recently addressed a report alleging that LeBron James confronted him about his tardiness to team practices. Embiid explicitly denied that such an interaction ever occurred, labeling the report as "not true."

In his response, Embiid expressed frustration regarding the nature of the coverage surrounding him. He described himself as an "easy target" for such stories, questioning the motivations behind why these specific narratives are being circulated. The report in question had suggested a breakdown in professional standards, but Embiid’s comments serve as a direct rebuttal to the claim that his teammates or peers have intervened regarding his practice habits.

While the report suggested a tension-filled exchange between two of the NBA’s most prominent stars, Embiid’s denial highlights a discrepancy between the reported event and his own account of team dynamics. As of now, no further evidence has been provided to substantiate the original claim, and the situation remains a point of contention between the initial reporting and the player's public statement.
