According to a lawsuit filed by Mansfield Oil Company of Gainesville, a supplier named KRSM and its president, Syed Kazmi, allegedly picked up approximately 1.1 million gallons of fuel between May 21 and July 7 without providing payment.

The lawsuit claims that the total value of the unpaid fuel exceeds $3,998,000. Mansfield Oil asserts that KRSM subsequently sold this fuel to various stations operating under the Freedom Fuel Network banner. The legal action centers on a breach of contract and the alleged misappropriation of assets, as the supplier claims the fuel was taken but never settled financially.

While the Trump administration had previously touted the network as a success story in the effort to provide affordable gas to consumers, this lawsuit highlights significant financial irregularities within the supply chain that supported those low prices.
