On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis officially launched a promotional anthem for the Dharavi redevelopment project, titled 'A New Tomorrow.' The event was designed to showcase the government's vision for the transformation of the area, which is widely recognized as one of the world's largest urban informal settlements.

To provide the public with a tangible sense of the project's scope, the launch featured life-size models of the proposed housing units. These include 350-square-foot rehabilitation homes intended for current residents and 500-square-foot renewal apartments. In addition to the physical models, the event showcased a 3D digital walkthrough, offering a virtual tour of the planned township. The project, which has been a subject of significant political and social debate, aims to replace existing structures with modernized residential and commercial spaces.
