A forest officer in Maharashtra has been arrested by anti-corruption authorities on charges of demanding and accepting a bribe. According to reports, the official had allegedly requested a payment of ₹45 lakh to perform an official duty.

To facilitate the arrest, investigators utilized a parcel filled with dummy currency notes, which served as a trap for the official. Upon accepting the parcel, the officer was apprehended by officials from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
