The Maharashtra state government has authorized an expenditure of Rs 1.32 crore to procure luxury vehicles for the office of the Lokayukta, the state’s anti-corruption ombudsman. According to official reports, the budget allocation allows for approximately Rs 33 lakh per vehicle.
