Senior Seaman Michael Coccon Johen, a 27-year-old member of the Malaysian navy’s special forces, was rescued after spending 15 hours adrift in the South China Sea. The incident took place on August 12 during a free-fall parachute training exercise near Pulau Layang-Layang, off the coast of Sabah.
