Microsoft has officially unveiled 'Mythic Achievements,' a new feature for the Xbox ecosystem designed to recognize players who achieve 100% completion in a game. The system functions similarly to the Platinum trophy system found on Sony’s PlayStation platform, triggering once a user has unlocked every original achievement associated with a specific title.

According to the Xbox team, the system is designed to be retroactive. This means that games players have already completed in the past—including older Xbox 360 titles—will automatically be updated to 'Mythic' status. Players may notice these updates reflected on their profiles the next time they log in.

Currently, the feature is in a testing phase and is available exclusively to Xbox Insiders. As part of this update, Microsoft is also planning to integrate a new gaming tab into user profiles to better showcase these accomplishments. While the announcement highlights the parity between Xbox and PlayStation's reward systems, it marks a significant shift in how Microsoft handles completionist milestones, moving away from the standard achievement point system toward a more consolidated trophy-style recognition.
