NBA superstar Victor Wembanyama recently spent time training with Provence, a professional rugby club competing in France's second division. The visit was highlighted by the athlete as a positive experience, specifically noting the sense of togetherness and team spirit displayed by the rugby players.

While Wembanyama is primarily known for his dominance in basketball, his engagement with other sports is often viewed as a way to broaden his athletic perspective. The training session allowed him to observe the physical and collaborative demands of rugby, a sport that differs significantly from basketball in its tactical structure and contact requirements. Wembanyama emphasized that the camaraderie he witnessed within the Provence squad was particularly impactful, suggesting that such elements of team cohesion are valuable lessons for his own professional career in the NBA.

There are no reports of any formal partnership or long-term commitment between Wembanyama and the club, with the event appearing to be a brief, personal initiative. The move has drawn attention to the crossover appeal of elite athletes exploring different sporting disciplines during the off-season or breaks in their primary schedules.
