On the night of August 8, Mahak Ahmed was found murdered inside a room at the 'Baraula Nest Rental Panorama' apartment complex in Noida. Following the discovery of the body, local police launched an investigation that eventually led them across state lines.

According to reports, the breakthrough in the case came through the discovery of five litres of liquor found within the room where the victim was located. Police utilized this evidence to trace the movements and identity of the primary suspect, identified as Raman. The investigation culminated in the arrest of the suspect in Bihar.
