Reverend Mitri Raheb, the founder and president of Dar al-Kalima University in Bethlehem, has issued a stark warning regarding the future of this demographic. According to Raheb, the combination of mounting economic instability and persistent security issues has created a climate of hopelessness that is driving families to emigrate.

Raheb projects that if the current conditions remain unchanged, the Palestinian Christian population in the West Bank could be entirely depleted by 2050. While the report highlights the perspective of community leaders who view the exodus as a crisis of survival for a historic minority, it notes that the decision to leave is driven by a complex mix of factors. These include limited economic opportunities and the broader geopolitical uncertainty that characterizes life in the region.
