After transitioning from a career in nursing to earning a doctorate in sexology from Shu-Te University, Tong began focusing on the intersection of sexual health and interpersonal communication. Since establishing her practice in 2016, she has observed that many sexual difficulties are rooted in deeper, systemic issues regarding how individuals are educated about and approach their personal relationships.

According to Tong, the 'relationship blind' phenomenon refers to a lack of awareness or skill in navigating the emotional complexities of intimacy. She argues that these struggles are rarely confined to the bedroom; instead, they are often symptoms of broader failures in communication and a lack of foundational relationship education. By addressing these underlying gaps, Tong aims to help clients move beyond surface-level sexual concerns to understand the emotional dynamics that influence their private lives.
