Actor Vijay, who recently launched his political party, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), held a roadshow in Madurantakam that has drawn significant attention from political analysts. The primary point of interest is the visible presence of flags belonging to the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) among the crowd during the event.

Political commentators are interpreting the display of these flags as a potential signal of a future electoral alignment between Vijay’s new party and the PMK. The PMK is known for having a strong and loyal support base in the Madurantakam region, and any formal or informal cooperation between the two entities could significantly alter the local political landscape. While Vijay has been actively building his party's grassroots presence, he has not yet issued a formal statement confirming or denying any discussions regarding an alliance with the PMK.

Currently, the situation remains speculative. Supporters of Vijay suggest the flags may simply represent individual fans who hold dual loyalties, while critics and political strategists argue that such a public display in a campaign setting is rarely coincidental. As the state approaches future election cycles, the nature of these interactions will likely remain a focal point for those tracking shifts in Tamil Nadu’s political alliances.
