Poland is actively pursuing a stronger defense relationship with the Philippines, building on the momentum of a recent deal that saw Polish-made Black Hawk helicopters delivered to the Philippine military. Wladyslaw Bartoszewski, Poland’s deputy foreign minister, confirmed on Tuesday that Warsaw is eager to explore further cooperation, citing Poland’s significant investment of US$50 billion into its own defense sector as a driver for international expansion.

Analysts suggest that the initial helicopter contract serves as a strategic entry point for Poland into the Southeast Asian defense market. Beyond helicopters, potential areas for future collaboration include the supply of drones, advanced air defense systems, and the possibility of co-production agreements.
