Following recent demonstrations at Lovely Professional University (LPU), law enforcement agencies in Amritsar and Ludhiana have launched a proactive campus outreach initiative. On Tuesday, officers from the Commissionerate Police visited multiple educational institutions throughout the region to establish direct lines of communication with the student body and university staff.

The stated objective of these visits is to address a variety of community concerns. According to police reports, the discussions centered on enhancing campus safety, preventing drug abuse, enforcing traffic regulations, and ensuring students are aware of how to access emergency assistance. By fanning out across various colleges, the police aim to foster a more collaborative relationship between law enforcement and the academic community.

While the initiative follows the unrest at LPU, the police have framed these visits as a preventative measure to maintain order and provide support services.
