Mad Sandhu, a well-known makeup artist and LGBTQ influencer, was found dead in Amritsar after sustaining two gunshot wounds. His body was discovered on a public road, marking a violent end for a figure who had gained significant attention for his work and his public identity.

Reports indicate that Sandhu had been a frequent target of homophobic harassment on social media platforms. In response to this persistent trolling, Sandhu had publicly defended his identity, famously stating, "God has made me the way I am," and refusing to conceal his sexual orientation. While the investigation into the shooting is ongoing, the incident has drawn attention to the risks faced by LGBTQ public figures who maintain a high profile in the region.

Currently, there are no reports of suspects in custody or a confirmed motive from local law enforcement. The incident has sparked concern among followers and the local community regarding the safety of influencers who speak openly about their personal lives and identities in the face of digital hostility.
