Political strategist and activist Prashant Kishor recently identified Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as one of the top ten leaders in the state's history. The remark was made while Kishor was actively touring Bihar to engage with voters and campaign for the upcoming elections to eight legislative council seats.

Kishor, who previously worked as a political advisor to Nitish Kumar, has transitioned into an independent political figure, launching his own initiatives to influence the state's political landscape. His assessment of the Chief Minister is notable given his recent shift toward independent political organizing. While Kishor acknowledged Kumar's place among the state's top leadership, he continues to maintain a critical stance on the current state of governance in Bihar as part of his ongoing campaign efforts.

The legislative council elections represent a significant focus for various political factions in the state. Kishor’s tour is intended to build support for his candidates and challenge the existing political establishment. By positioning himself as a critic of the current administration while simultaneously offering a nuanced view of the Chief Minister’s historical standing, Kishor is attempting to carve out a distinct political identity in a crowded field. The comments have drawn attention from political observers who are monitoring how Kishor’s independent campaign will impact the electoral prospects of established parties in the upcoming council polls.
