President Trump is holding a luncheon in the Rose Garden on Thursday to recognize the contributions of first responders. According to a White House official, the event is intended to honor law enforcement officers and firefighters for their service.

Attendees at the gathering include representatives from several prominent national groups, such as the Fraternal Order of Police, the International Association of Fire Fighters, and the National Sheriffs’ Association. The event serves as a public acknowledgment of these professional organizations and their members. While the event focuses on the recognition of these groups, the broader context of the administration's current policy agenda or specific legislative goals related to these organizations was not detailed in the initial reports.
