The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defence announced on Tuesday that its air defense systems tracked two ballistic missiles launched from Iran. According to the ministry’s statement, the first missile landed outside of UAE territorial waters, while the second impacted within them. Simultaneously, tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated. President Donald Trump stated that there are no ongoing or scheduled negotiations with Tehran. This declaration follows a social media post by the President featuring a map that depicts the Strait of Hormuz as "new US territory," a move described as a provocative gesture toward the Iranian government.

There is a notable discrepancy regarding the status of diplomatic efforts. While President Trump explicitly denied that talks are taking place, his advisor and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, claimed on Monday that the U.S. and Iran were engaged in "very positive and active" discussions. The situation remains fluid as the six-month-old conflict shows few signs of resolution, with both military posturing and contradictory diplomatic messaging defining the current landscape.
