Physicians for Human Rights Israel (PHRI) has petitioned an administrative court to compel the Israeli prison system to permit an independent physician to examine Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya. Dr. Abu Safiya, a Palestinian physician, was detained by Israeli forces during a raid on the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza in late 2024.
