Roku has officially entered the OLED television market with the release of its new Pro Series. This move marks a significant expansion for the company, which previously focused primarily on streaming hardware and software integration rather than manufacturing its own high-end display panels. The launch comes shortly after Sony announced its Bravia 6, intensifying competition in the midrange OLED sector, which has historically been dominated by LG and Samsung.

The Roku Pro Series is equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate panel and includes four HDMI 2.1 ports, catering to users who require high-bandwidth connectivity. For gamers, the television supports Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), FreeSync Premium, and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). Additionally, the product includes a backlit remote control and a built-in remote finder feature, which allows users to locate the device via a button on the television chassis. Roku has also announced that a more advanced model, the Pro Series LX, is scheduled for release next month. While the current market for midrange OLEDs has seen rapid growth with new entries from major manufacturers, Roku’s entry is positioned to challenge established players by offering a combination of proprietary software and competitive hardware specifications.
