Sahibzada Farhan Appointed Pakistan T20 Captain Ahead of Sri Lanka Series
The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed Sahibzada Farhan as the new T20 captain for the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka. The announcement coincides with the return of Naseem Shah to the squad and the exclusion of Salman Agha.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially named Sahibzada Farhan as the captain of the national T20 team for the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka. This leadership change marks a significant shift in the team's structure as they prepare for the international fixtures.
Alongside the captaincy announcement, the squad selection includes the return of fast bowler Naseem Shah, who has been brought back into the fold to bolster the bowling attack. Conversely, the selection committee has opted to exclude Salman Agha from the T20 squad for this series. Meanwhile, the leadership structure for other formats remains unchanged, with Shaheen Shah Afridi continuing his tenure as the captain of the One Day International (ODI) team.
These changes reflect the board's ongoing efforts to refine the team's composition and leadership strategy across different formats of the game. The upcoming series against Sri Lanka will serve as the first test for Farhan in his new role as the T20 leader.
