Sony Interactive Entertainment has agreed to pay $7.85 million to resolve a class-action lawsuit filed against the company. The legal dispute alleged that Sony’s digital storefront practices violated federal and state antitrust laws by restricting the sale of digital PlayStation games to its own platform, thereby preventing competition and potentially inflating prices for consumers.

Under the terms of the settlement, eligible users who purchased digital games through the PlayStation Store during the relevant period may be entitled to a portion of the settlement funds in the form of store credit.
