Sony Offers Refurbished PlayStation 5 Bundles With Discounted Controllers
Sony has introduced a limited-time promotion allowing customers to purchase refurbished PlayStation 5 consoles bundled with a second discounted controller. The offer provides a cost-saving alternative to buying new hardware while maintaining a standard one-year warranty.
Sony is currently offering refurbished PlayStation 5 consoles at a reduced price compared to new units, with an additional promotion for those looking to acquire extra hardware. Customers can purchase a refurbished digital edition console for $499 or a disc-based model for $549. As part of a limited-time bundle, buyers have the option to add a refurbished DualSense controller to their order at a significant discount.
According to reports, adding a white DualSense controller to a console purchase increases the total price by approximately $18, representing a $40 discount off the standard retail price of a controller. These refurbished units are sold directly through Sony and include the same one-year warranty typically provided with new consoles. The timing of this promotion coincides with increased consumer interest in the platform ahead of the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI, scheduled for November 19th. While the promotion offers a clear financial incentive for budget-conscious buyers, it remains a limited-time offer for those seeking to avoid the full retail price of new gaming hardware.
