West Bengal opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari has publicly rejected allegations linking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to an attack on the residence of Sheikh Abdul Hafiz, a member of the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP). The incident reportedly took place following Hafiz’s participation in a protest at Jantar Mantar, where he voiced concerns regarding the deteriorating infrastructure and administrative mismanagement at a local primary school.

According to reports, the confrontation at the Hafiz residence resulted in the death of his father. While accusations have been leveled against local BJP workers for the violence, Adhikari has maintained that his party had no role in the incident.
