In a development described as rare, Taiwan’s Labour Minister Hung Sun-han is set to visit Nanjing this Sunday to participate in an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) ministerial meeting. This trip marks the first time a cabinet-level official from the administration of President William Lai Ching-te has traveled to mainland China since he took office.

The APEC meeting, scheduled for Monday, will bring together regional representatives to discuss a range of labor-related topics. According to reports, the agenda includes discussions on employment strategies, vocational training programs, social security systems, and the evolving influence of artificial intelligence on global job markets.
