Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) has confirmed he will not appear alongside former President Donald Trump at an upcoming campaign event in San Antonio. The rally, scheduled for Wednesday, is designed to bolster the reelection efforts of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) as the midterm elections approach.

While the report from The Hill notes the absence of the governor, it does not provide a specific reason for the scheduling conflict or a statement from the Abbott campaign regarding the decision. The event occurs less than a month before the November midterms, a period typically marked by high-profile political appearances intended to energize the party base. The focus of the rally remains centered on Attorney General Paxton, who is currently navigating a competitive reelection cycle. No further details regarding the governor's itinerary or potential future appearances with the former president were provided in the initial reporting.
