The trial regarding the death of Hong Kong socialite Abby Choi Tin-fung is currently underway, focusing on the discovery of her remains in February 2023. During court proceedings on Tuesday, a police detective testified about the initial investigation into a rental property located in Lung Mei village, Tai Po.

According to the detective's testimony, officers arrived at the 600-square-foot flat on the evening of February 24, 2023. The officer described the environment as having a strong odor of disinfectant, suggesting an attempt to sanitize the scene. Upon entering the premises, police discovered dismembered human remains alongside various tools, which the prosecution alleges were used in the commission of the murder. The court is currently reviewing evidence collected from the site as the trial progresses to determine the circumstances surrounding the model's death.
