Two individuals, a 29-year-old gym trainer and a 19-year-old clothing-store worker, have been identified as victims of a recruitment scheme operated by a Pakistani terror network. According to reports, the recruitment process relied heavily on social media platforms to target vulnerable individuals.

The 29-year-old gym trainer had been following an individual named Bhatti on Instagram for approximately two years, under the impression that the account belonged to a genuine social media influencer. The 19-year-old worker was similarly targeted through online reels that showcased a lifestyle of wealth, including expensive cars and financial prosperity. These digital lures were used to establish contact and eventually draw the men into the terror network's operations.

The case highlights the evolving tactics used by extremist groups to exploit social media for recruitment purposes. By masquerading as influencers or purveyors of a high-end lifestyle, these networks are able to bypass traditional suspicion and connect with individuals who may be seeking financial or social advancement.
