An undertrial prisoner, identified as Pramod, was killed during an incident inside a Delhi jail facility. According to preliminary reports from law enforcement, the violence was triggered by a dispute involving the sale of tobacco within the prison walls.

Officials state that the victim was allegedly involved in selling tobacco to other inmates, which led to a confrontation. Two other prisoners, identified as Bhola and Mukesh, have been accused of carrying out the fatal attack. While the investigation is ongoing, the incident has once again drawn attention to the security and management of contraband items within the Delhi prison system. Authorities are currently conducting an inquiry to determine how the altercation escalated to a lethal level and how the suspects were able to carry out the assault despite existing security protocols.
