As the midterm elections approach, the White House has implemented a ban preventing journalists from Politico, CNN, and MS NOW from entering the executive premises. The move follows an announcement made by President Trump earlier in the week regarding these specific media organizations.

In response to the denial of access, the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) has issued a statement condemning the decision. WHCA President Jacqui Heinrich called upon the administration to immediately reverse the ban and restore full access to the affected journalists. The situation has intensified the ongoing tension between the administration and various media outlets during the final stretch of the midterm campaign season. While the administration has signaled its intent to limit access, the WHCA maintains that such restrictions interfere with the ability of the press to perform its duties. As of Saturday, the journalists from the named outlets confirmed they were physically denied entry to the White House grounds.
