Wisconsin Man Charged With Murder of Estranged Wife
Ankur Patel, an Indian-origin man in Wisconsin, has been charged with the murder of his estranged wife. Authorities allege the motive was related to the victim dating a colleague following their separation.
In August, 32-year-old Ankur Patel was involved in an incident resulting in the death of his estranged wife. The couple, who share a daughter, had separated approximately three months prior to the event, at which point the victim had moved out of the home they previously shared in Wisconsin.
According to reports, the motive for the killing is alleged to be the victim's decision to date a colleague. Following the incident, law enforcement officials indicated that Patel attempted to flee the country to India. The case is currently moving through the Wisconsin legal system, where Patel faces charges related to the homicide. While the facts regarding the separation and the attempt to leave the country are consistent across reports, the specific details regarding the timeline of the victim's new relationship and the exact circumstances of the confrontation remain limited in public reporting.
